Creating Powerful Work Teams
An integrated
approach to the development of individual
interpersonal skills resulting in increased
team cohesiveness, communication and
effectiveness.
Background
Organizations and businesses have
spent an enormous amount of time to develop
communications skills and enhance management
and leadership effectiveness. While it is
important that people gain new information
and acquire new knowledge about systems and
models, this in and of itself will not
change individual behaviour or shape
corporate culture. Extrinsic learning may
hold great potential but it is only when
individuals internalize this learning and
take responsibility for it that true change
can occur.
Creating Powerful Work Teams is a
program built on the foundation that:
·
Individuals who take
responsibility for their own learning,
thoughts, and actions find their work more
meaningful.
·
Successful development focuses
on the underlying causes of individual
behaviours.
· Individuals
who continue to develop their knowledge,
skills and personal awareness make great
contributions to the
successful performance of their
organizations.

Approach
Creating Powerful
Work Teams is unique in its ability to
help organizations resolve issues related to
team performance. Our approach delivers
results based on the following:
Organizations are not entities; they are
made up of individuals in a series of
one-on-one relationships:
The foundation of Creating Powerful Work
Teams is the individual. An
organization is not just governed by a set
of rules or a list of values; it is
individuals and their contribution that make
an organization successful.
A team is only as strong as its weakest
relationship. The team will only develop if
the individuals become more aware of how
their own behaviours affect others.
Creating Powerful Work Teams focuses on
these underlying behaviours and provides
participants with the skills required to
give and receive constructive feedback.
